Convert common HVAC engineering units.
Advanced Cycle Comparison Studio
Bring the refrigeration engines onto one controlled comparison surface. Keep the common design basis visible, normalize COP, work, kW, mass flow, heat rejection and high-side temperature, and show deltas only where the architectures are genuinely comparable.

Useful during reference & conversion work.
- Resolve unit-system differences quickly across calculations, drawings, schedules and vendor data.
- Look up common formulas, constants and engineering reminders without leaving the HVACR workspace.
- Reduce repeated manual conversion work while keeping the final engineering review with the user.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool tell me which refrigeration system is best?
No. It normalizes theoretical cycle outputs and explicit reference deltas. Final architecture choice also depends on OEM equipment, capacity control, auxiliaries, safety, cost, serviceability and actual load/ambient conditions.
Why are refrigerants not ranked against each other?
Changing refrigerant also changes safety class, pressure regime, compressor/equipment availability, temperature glide and often architecture assumptions. This first Studio compares architectures within one compatible refrigerant/family instead of creating a false universal ranking.
Why is pumped R717 marked context only?
Pumped-liquid overfeed uses a low-pressure receiver and a different useful-load/mass-flow boundary from the DX/two-stage engines. Its operating metrics are useful, but a direct winner delta would imply more comparability than the models support.
Does the Studio optimize intermediate, receiver or R744 high-side pressure?
No. Existing balanced intermediate-pressure modes remain visible heuristics, and R744 receiver/high-side pressures are explicit user inputs. No pressure optimizer or control setpoint is introduced.
