WHEN TO USE THIS TOOL

Useful during reference & conversion work.

  • Resolve unit-system differences quickly across calculations, drawings, schedules and vendor data.
  • Look up common formulas, constants and engineering reminders without leaving the HVACR workspace.
  • Reduce repeated manual conversion work while keeping the final engineering review with the user.

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace the existing R717 P-T source?

No. Field P-T remains based on the Gao et al. vapor-pressure ancillary. This cycle tool uses a separately versioned CoolProp 8.0.0 full-state grid and records cross-source saturation-pressure agreement.

Is this an ammonia plant design tool?

No. It is a bounded dry-suction single-stage thermodynamic cycle. Machinery-room, relief, ventilation, detection, piping/vessel, exposure, oil-management and operating procedures remain separate.

Does it support two-stage or pumped ammonia?

Not inside this single-stage model. HVACR Studio now provides separate dedicated two-stage flash-intercooler and pumped-liquid/recirculation workflows; economizer heat-exchanger and other advanced architectures remain separate.

Does theoretical COP equal plant COP?

No. Compressor motor losses, oil, fans, pumps, controls, pressure drops, heat gains and actual compressor maps are outside this theoretical refrigerant-cycle model.
