Frequently asked questions
Does HVACR Studio provide manufacturer compressor performance data?
No. You paste the applicable current OEM table for the exact compressor and configuration. Studio contains no built-in manufacturer capacity or power map.
How is interpolation performed?
Exact rows are returned directly. On a source grid line Studio uses linear interpolation; inside a complete rectangular local cell it uses bilinear interpolation from the four surrounding OEM rows.
Will the tool extrapolate outside the OEM table?
No. Extrapolation is blocked. A missing local grid corner is also blocked rather than guessed or triangulated.
Does capacity margin select the compressor?
No. It compares one interpolated OEM capacity with an entered refrigeration duty. Rack staging, redundancy, compressor count, part-load operation, motor checks and final equipment selection remain separate.
