WHEN TO USE THIS TOOL

Useful during reference & conversion work.

  • Resolve unit-system differences quickly across calculations, drawings, schedules and vendor data.
  • Look up common formulas, constants and engineering reminders without leaving the HVACR workspace.
  • Reduce repeated manual conversion work while keeping the final engineering review with the user.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool choose the best refrigeration architecture?

No. It shows bounded theoretical results from existing validated engines. Architecture selection also depends on compressor maps, auxiliaries, controls, safety, cost, installation, serviceability and actual site conditions.

Why is pumped-liquid R717 not directly ranked against DX/two-stage COP?

Its low-pressure-receiver and overfeed useful-load boundary differs from the DX cycle definitions. The tool therefore shows pumped-liquid flash, circulation, compressor-flow and pump metrics as context instead of creating a false apples-to-apples ranking.

Does the R744 comparison optimize high-side or receiver pressure?

No. Both pressures are explicit engineering inputs. The tool evaluates only the entered operating point.

Can I compare R717 against R744 here?

No. The two refrigerant families have different architectures, safety/pressure regimes and thermodynamic bases. This workflow compares architectures only within the selected refrigerant family.
