Refrigerant P-T Lookup
Look up saturation pressure from temperature, or saturation temperature from pressure. Bubble and dew conditions remain separate for refrigerant blends with glide.

Engineering Scope & Limitations
- Dataset generated from CoolProp 8.0.0 and committed as versioned static application data.
- Stored pressure is absolute pressure in pascals; gauge conversion is performed only in the UI/lookup layer using the entered atmospheric pressure.
- For blends, bubble uses Q=0 and dew uses Q=1 and both are shown independently.
- Interpolation is performed only between generated 1 °C nodes; no saturation values are extrapolated beyond the valid generated range.
- This is a saturation P-T lookup, not a substitute for full cycle/property analysis, manufacturer charging instructions, refrigerant safety procedures or code compliance.
Useful during refrigeration work.
- Compare refrigeration efficiency metrics and refrigerant characteristics during concept or retrofit work.
- Use pressure-temperature and refrigerant-reference data as a fast engineering aid.
- Support refrigerant screening while still checking the latest manufacturer, safety and regulatory requirements.
Frequently asked questions
Are the pressures absolute or gauge?
The source dataset stores absolute pressure only. The calculator can display or accept gauge pressure by applying the atmospheric pressure that you provide.
Why do some refrigerants show bubble and dew values?
Zeotropic blends can have temperature glide. Their saturated-liquid bubble condition and saturated-vapor dew condition are different, so this tool keeps them separate instead of averaging them.
Can I use this above the critical point?
No. The generated table contains only valid saturation states returned by CoolProp. Values outside each refrigerant’s generated saturation range are rejected rather than extrapolated.
Is CoolProp called when I use the calculator?
No. CoolProp 8.0.0 is used only during controlled dataset generation. The deployed toolbox reads the versioned static JSON locally.
