Convert common HVAC engineering units.
OEM Compressor Envelope Review
Paste the applicable manufacturer envelope boundary, record its provenance and check an operating point without turning HVACR Studio into unsourced compressor-selection software.

Useful during reference & conversion work.
- Resolve unit-system differences quickly across calculations, drawings, schedules and vendor data.
- Look up common formulas, constants and engineering reminders without leaving the HVACR workspace.
- Reduce repeated manual conversion work while keeping the final engineering review with the user.
Frequently asked questions
Does HVACR Studio contain compressor maps from manufacturers?
No. This tool intentionally contains no built-in OEM envelope or compressor-performance dataset. You enter the applicable envelope vertices from the current manufacturer source.
Does “inside envelope” mean the compressor is selected or approved?
No. It only means the entered 2D point lies geometrically inside the entered source polygon. Capacity, power, motor, speed, oil system, injection/economizer configuration, warranty and other OEM conditions still require manufacturer selection data.
Can I check R744 transcritical compressors?
Yes, when the applicable OEM envelope is expressed as suction saturated/evaporating temperature versus high-side/discharge pressure. High-side pressure must be entered as absolute pressure.
Why are discharge temperature and pressure-ratio limits blank by default?
Because those limits are compressor- and application-specific. Studio evaluates them only when you enter a value from the applicable OEM/source document.
